ISU SSP21 Preparations Kicked-off in Granada, Spain

The International Space University ISU's Space Studies Program (SSP) will be hosted in Granada, by Spain’s fourth largest university – The University of Granada - following its two upcoming editions in Strasbourg, France (2019) and Shenzhen, China (2020).

Between 23-25 April 2019, SSP Executive Director Dr. Omar Hatamleh and SSP Deputy Director Goktug Karacalioglu attended the SSP21 kick-off meetings in Granada. During their visit, the ISU delegation was welcomed by the Local Organizing Committee members of the University of Granada. In addition to the academic and logistical planning sessions, the delegation also met with some already designated sponsors of the program and visited several event venues.

SSP Executive Director Dr. Hatamleh describes the kick-off meeting as a very successful start to the two-year planning phase of the program and states:

"We are very happy to host SSP21 in the beautiful city of Granada! The local organizing committee has already engaged in the planning process, to produce an excellent program, and we are looking forward to a long and lasting relationship between ISU and University of Granada."

In May 2019, ISU will publish a Request for Proposal (RFP) to collect the host site applications for SSP22 and SSP23.
