Women in STEM – ISU breaks the bias

On 8th March – International Women’s Day – we celebrate women from across the world, with a special thought for women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). We are convinced that contributions that women make as decision-makers, innovators and stakeholders across the STEM sector will result in better solutions to development challenges and contribute to innovation and to the future we offer the next generation.

At the International Space University (ISU) we develop the next generation of space professionals and leaders through interdisciplinary, international, and intercultural educational programs. Not only do we aim at breaking the biases and closing the female gender gap, but we succeed – we are achieving a 50/50 gender parity in most of our programs.

The vibrant space sector that supports the global space economy requires a stellar workforce including many women. Women have to play an important role in this development!
