Transcripts

Request for ISU Transcripts

[ABOUT DIPLOMA: ISU cannot reissue a diploma.
If you lose your diploma, unfortunately, we cannot send you another one. ISU does not issue an attested version of a diploma.]

Academic transcripts detail the student’s marks for all evaluation elements completed.

As Student records are confidential, a transcript will only be issued at the request of the student.

Transcripts will not be issued for anyone with outstanding fee payments or fines due to the University.

Transcripts will be issued within 12 to 15 working days from receipt of payment. Note that the period between 24 December and 2 January are not considered working days at ISU.

Transcripts are issued in sealed envelopes. Any additional requirements, e.g. reference codes, cover forms to be sent with the transcript…, must be described in the email sent with your request.

Transcripts are sent out by standard post or, for an extra fee, by UPS Express Delivery. Depending on the destination, standard post may take several weeks to reach it destination, while, with UPS Express Delivery, it is usually received within a few days.

Upon request, a scan of a transcript may be sent by email or via an electronic platform, e.g. the website of academic verification service providers. Be informed that, as ISU uses security paper to issue transcript, an “unauthorized copy” watermark will show on the scan, beneath the text of the transcript.

Transcripts will not be sent by fax.

To request a transcript of your academic records, please:

Fees:

For currently registered students, there is no fee for transcripts collected in person or sent via standard post.

In other cases, there is a standard fee of 15€ or US$21 for up to a maximum of three copies per transcript sent in one package to the same address. If transcripts are requested to be sent to more than one address, the same charge will apply again for each address (i.e. Total charge = Standard fee x No. of addresses).

For transcripts sent by UPS Express Delivery:

to countries within the European Union: 100€ or US$115 additional fee per address.

to countries outside the European Union: 140€ or US$160 additional fee per address.

Apostille

Some MSc alumni may need to have an apostil from the French government on their diploma for various purposes.
The apostil authenticates a public document.

Nevertheless, ISU is NOT a public institution. Therefore ISU MSc diplomas cannot get the apostil directly on them but if they are accompanied by a certificate made by a notary, the apostil can be put on the certificate of the notary itself.Note that this is the certificate from the notary that will be authenticated, not the diploma.

Also be aware that there are no other ways to proceed and ISU will only use the procedure described below.

If you wish to go through this procedure, ISU can do it on your behalf provided that you pay for it in advance and that we receive your written request and diploma.

Once your payment and diploma are received by ISU, this procedure may take more than a month to be completed – depending on the MSS Program Director and notary’s availability-.

The procedure is the following:

1/ You must fill in the request form, pay the fees and send your original diploma to: MSS Program Coordinator – ISU – 1 rue J.D. Cassini – 67400 Illkirch-Graffenstaden-France
ISU declines responsibility in case your diploma gets lost by postal services.

2/ ISU will organize an appointment with a notary so that the MSS Program Director signs your MSc diploma again in front of the notary. The notary will then create a certificate confirming that the person who signed in front of him is the program director.

3/ Once the certificate from the Notary is done; all the documents – diploma + certificate from notary – will be mailed to the Court of Appeal.

4/When we receive your diploma and the certificate of the notary back from the Court of Appeal, we will mail all those documents back to you using the recommendations your provided while ordering the apostil.
