ISU and ICESCO Collaborate to Establish a New Chair in Space Engineering and Space Sciences at ISU

The International Space University (ISU) and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) signed an agreement on Friday 15 December 2023 to establish an ICESCO Chair at ISU dedicated to space engineering and space sciences.

This collaboration between ISU and ICESCO marks a significant step forward in the realm of space education.

Prof. Nicolas Peter, President of the International Space University, expressed his enthusiasm about this initiative, stating:

” This partnership with ICESCO, which is cooperating with  54 Member States, will provide unparalleled opportunities for students in  around the world to engage in ISU activities and advanced studies and research projects in the field of space engineering and sciences.”

The Chair will be instrumental in fostering international collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the global space community.

Dr. Salem Al-Malik, Director-General of ICESCO, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating:

The ISESCO Chair held by ISU’s Dr. Tejumola Taiwo will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research and educational programs in space engineering and space sciences:
