SSP22 Online ends with the presentation of new methodologies in the search for life

On 6th August 2022, the online cohort of ISU’s Space Studies Program – SSP22 Online – successfully completed their international, interdisciplinary, and intercultural virtual space education.

Those six weeks were made, as evidenced by the weekly vlogs, of learning and opportunities that only the International Space University offers.

Göktuğ Karacalıoğlu, ISU SSP22 director said:
“In this framework of six weeks, we generated 250 hours of academic and professional development content. Concerning our subject matter experts, SSP22 Online brought in top specialists from over 25 countries to share their knowledge and experience with our online participants.”

The pinnacle was the presentation of the teamwork carried out on “New methodologies in the search for life”. This Team Project (TP) assessed the probability of life in a more structured way to narrow the mission design option space using analyzed data sets providing scientists and engineers with new space missions to search for life in the most promising locations with an optimized array of sensors. The full report and executive summary will soon be available on the International Space University’s library website.
